Three Generations. One Mission.
Sobaan Salts was founded in 2001 by Mr. Akbar Hussain Rana in Sialkot, Pakistan. What began as a local salt manufacturing and distribution operation with 27 employees and a single facility, quickly grew through consistent quality and reliable supply. Within a few years, the workforce doubled, and the foundation for something larger was in place.
The company's first major expansion came when Mr. Abid Hussain Rana, the founder's eldest son, joined the business. He introduced Himalayan salt lamp manufacturing, established contracts with Pakistan's leading salt industry supplier PMDC (Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation), and secured direct access to raw rock salt from the mines. This move transformed Sobaan Salts from a local manufacturer into a vertically integrated production operation controlling quality from source to shipment.
In 2012, Rana Muhammad Saad, third generation and current CEO joined the company with a clear global vision. He registered Sobaan Salts with the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, built an international sales operation, and began supplying leading brands in Asia, the Gulf, Europe, and North America. Today, Sobaan Salts serves 100+ B2B clients across 70+ countries, with a product catalog spanning edible salt, wellness products, industrial grades, and custom private-label formats.
